Two Days Tour OLYMPIA-NAUPLION1st Day ATHENS - OLYMPIA
Early morning departure with a new luxury taxi,cab or mini van and we start the two days Classical Tour. We will drive to the Corinth Canal (brief rest stop). Continue to Epidaurus to visit the the world renowned theater and archaeological site, famous for its remarkable acoustics. After a short stop in Nauplia continue to Mycenae and see the Lion Gate and the Beehive Tombs of King Agamemnon. Continue driving through the Central Peloponnese, Arcadia and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis for arrival into Olympia for dinner and overnight.
2ND Day OLYMPIA – NAULION
In Olympia you will be visit the famous stadium which gave birth to the Olympic Games. You will also visit the impressive Temple of Zeus, the Temple of Hera, and one of the greatest sculptures of all time, "Hermes" by Praxiteles.
Afterwards we will visit the first Greek Capital city
Nafplio (or Navplion, Nauplia or Navplio ). We will visit Akronafplia where the town was located up to the arrival of the Venetians. It has views down onto the red-tile roofs of the old town, and up to its awe-inspiring neighbour, the Palamidi Fortress.
Three separate fortresses are located in Palamidi, built between 1711 and 1714, and the whole complex cascades powerfully, yet elegantly, from the pinnacle of its hilltop down towards the town below.
